“Ahu tuyhaṁ pure saddhā,
In the past you had faith,

sā te ajja na vijjati;
today you have none.
1.3
Yaṁ tuyhaṁ tuyhamevetaṁ,
What’s yours is yours alone—

natthi duccaritaṁ mama.
I’ve done nothing wrong.

Aniccā hi calā saddhā,
Faith is impermanent, fickle:

evaṁ diṭṭhā hi sā mayā;
or so I have seen.

Rajjantipi virajjanti,
Passions wax and wane:

tattha kiṁ jiyyate muni.
